Mission Statement

Rosedale Traditional Community School is a compassionate community of learners who CARE and nurture a culture of kindness and acceptance,

ENGAGE in active and innovate experiences, and INSPIRE curiosity, discovery and achievement.

Care ~ Engage ~ Inspire

It is my pleasure to welcome everyone to a new school year!  I can’t tell you how excited the staff are to begin another year at Rosedale Traditional Community School.  It truly is a wonderful community where amazing experiences take place.

Whether you dropped your child off at RTCS for the first day of Kindergarten or you are a veteran parent of a school-aged child, the start of a new school year is always a time filled with excitement.  Our school staff were all eager to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning.

On Tuesday September 3rd, we welcomed 504 Ravens through the doors.  We also have some new Raven Staff joining us this year: Mrs. Brooke Janzen (Acting Vice-Principal), Mrs. Sarah Schinkel (Learning Assistance), and Mrs. Kathryn Popma (Aboriginal Education).

It is our goal to ensure that every child and their family feel welcomed, connected, and part of our Rosedale Raven family.  Throughout the year, we strongly encourage families to refer to our website and facebook page for upcoming events and information.  We are also asking parents to confirm that the school has a current email address so that we can ensure that you are not missing out on important communications.  Finally, a gentle reminder to complete the online Technology Acceptable Use Agreement Form that was sent to you through a program called Permission Click.

I continue to be moved by the dedicated staff and families in this community, and look forward to spending the school year focusing on our collective mission: to care, to engage and to inspire.
